Diana (Lindsay Wagner) is the daughter of a judge. She is accused of stealing a brooch. Her boyfriend, Lonnie (Randolph Mantooth), could help her with his statement, but refuses to do so initially. Diana's classmate and even her own mother are not convinced of her innocence.

The young girl hopes that Owen Marshall and Jess Brandon (Lee Majors) can help her. She believes that her chances are not good because Lonnie cannot decide whether or not he should help Diana. However, Jess is able to persuade him that it is better to tell the truth in court rather than to think only of himself.
