A brilliant young girl visits a jewelery store and leaves with an expensive brooch. However, she neglected to pay for it, and is arrested for shoplifting. The girl, played by Lindsay Wagner, insists it is all a mistake, and Owen Marshall defends her. The girl's mother, Judge Lynn Oliver (guest star Dana Wynter) is a close friend of Marshall.
