The teaching-in-the-round classroom arrangement seen in MCA Television's "The Bionic Woman" series is the idea of Lindsay Wagner, starring as schoolteacher Jaime Sommers who also undertakes top secret government missions. "When everyone, including the teacher, is part of the circle, all energy is focused inward and we can function as a unit with no self-consciousness and no one hiding in a back seat," observed Lindsay. She employed the same technique while teaching drama to sixth, seventh and eighth-graders in a church-affiliated school.
