Blind date brought 2 Hollywood stars together

December 17, 1979

NEW YORK - I wouldn't lie to you. In Hollywood, the stars "blinddate." Jack Haley Jr. tweaked his romantic-looking beard and gazed lovingly across the hotel room at long tall cool beauty former Bionic Woman Lindsay Wagner who used to tear outtree trunks and pick up cars on TV.

"We met on a blind date eight weeks ago." Jack said lover-like. "I don't blind-date but Michael
Callin's wife said 'Oh, you might like him, and it's all right, his mother's coming,'" nodded
Lindsay. And so Haley ( previously married to Liza What's-Her-Name)and Lindsay (divorced from
Michael Brandon of TV) blind-dated and are now rumored at Studio 54, to be getting married.

"Who started that? It's never been talked about," Lindsay said. "Maybe Jack started it." (I just
wanted to be helpful). Anyway, there's bliss, and it came from a blind date. Lindsay's a brain. Came here to attend seminars on "Unique Perspectives" relaxation, meditation better breathing, energy to promote her TV series "Scruples" to be aired in February and to work on her personally produced Margaret Meade TV series.

Lindsay and her blind date went to Elaine's for dinner. They sat in the front, of course. How would it look if you didn't? "You're seen there, but the door keeps coming open, and you freeze!" You see, even the stars have their troubles.
