NBC's Family Ties had a 32.4, followed by Murder, She Wrote, with a 25.9, and 60 Minutes, with a 25.2. Next came NBC's Cheers, NBC's Highway To Heaven, Child's Cry, CBS' Dallas, Part 2 of Sins, and NBC's Night Court and CBS' Newhart, in a 10th-place tie.
