January 11, 1987

CAGNEY & LACEY at 10 on CBS CBS steps out with two newcomers this morning, news beginning at 6 (Channel 11 joins in at 6:30) hosted by Faith Daniels and Forrest Sawyer, and then "The Morning Program" at 7:30, a live entertainment-and-information show with Mariette Hartley and Rolland Smith. In the evening, NBC offers "Stranger in My Bed," starring Lindsay Wagner and Armand Assante. The film-bumped by the World Series on Oct. 27-is based on the real-life story of a woman who lost her memory in an automobile accident and faced rebuilding her identity and her family relationships. Hughes plays a senior citizen living in a neighborhood imperiled by street gangs who takes in a boy on the run. And "Cagney & Lacey" fans will find Mary Beth haunted by the threats of a rapist who intends to disfigure her, and Christine angry that her attorney-beau will defend the man who tried to kill her. Guests: Shelley Fabares as Dick's old college girlfriend on "Newhart" at 9. MOVIES: "Testament" (9 on 26). SPORTS: Georgetown at Villanova (7 on 5). TUESDAY GONE WITH THE WIND at 8 on CBS
