SEXY TRASH: Based on Barbara Taylor Bradford's sheet-rustling potboiler, "Voice of the Heart" stars Lindsay Wagner as tortured actress Katharine Tempest, James Brolin as tortured screen idol Victor Mason, Victoria Tennant as his tortured lover, Francesca Cunningham, and Neil Dickson as tortured screenwriter Nick Latimer.

During this two-part Fox mini-series, airing from 7 to 9 tonight and tomorrow night on WFLD-Channel 32, all these folks torture each other as the ebb and flow of love snakes in and out of their lives.

This is trash, but at least it's fairly stylish trash. Everyone wears nice costumes and all the cavorting takes place in France and England and on posh Long Island estates, so the scenery isn't bad.

And here's a dirty little secret. I desire Lindsay Wagner. And judging by this mini-series, so does everybody else. I'll sit through almost anything she does. She made sitting through "Voice of the Heart" secretly bearable.
