Sunday was a special kind of night for Lindsay Wagner fans with
itchy trigger fingers. At 9 p.m. the ex-Bionic Woman starred on Channel
2 in a rerun of the docudrama "Shattered Dreams," and on Channel 7 in a
rerun of the Judith Krantz weeper "Scruples."
As the night wore on, Wagner became richer on Channel 7 and more
black and blue on Channel 2. (She played the battered wife of a
Securities and Exchange Commission official in "Shattered Dreams,"
taking it on the chin one too many times from her testy, nasty hubby.)
All of this has led to speculation that cable is considering a
24-hour-a-day Lindsay Wagner Channel, and wouldn't that be nice? We
could then watch Lindsay punching men, men punching Lindsay, and Lindsay
opening boutiques -- all day long.
It would be positively . . . Wagnerian
