FIGHTING FOR MY DAUGHTER

9 tonight In ''Fighting for My Daughter,'' the cautionary ABC tale is loaded with cautions - about motherhood and daughterhood, etc., and knowing when somebody's trying to pimp you (the primary plot) and what to wear while hooking. Key players in this deadly drama are Kate (Lindsay Wagner), who was a cutup as a girl herself; her lovely but impossibly naive daughter Jessie (Renee Humphrey), who is finding herself swallowed up by the ''glamorous'' world of prostitution; and two competing pimps, the charming Eric (Chad Lowe) and Russell (Kirk Baltz). There's social problems to deal with here, but the real trouble is an awkward, stumbling, sometimes muddled production in which there's a powerful movie struggling to get out - but not able to make it.
