Pammy in love lessons bid to save marriage

December 19, 1996

Babe Pamela Anderson has dragged husband Tommy Lee to a bizarre pounds 420 marriage guidance session.

Pals said yesterday that it was a last ditch bid to save their relationship.

And during two hours of counselling, Pammy was told to think of herself as a BABY.

The session came on Tuesday, just after she stunned the showbiz world by announcing she was leaving Baywatch.

Lee left the couple's mansion and picked Pammy up from a nearby house where she's staying after walking out for a second time.

The couple met wacky relationship guru Dr Margaret Paul, who charges pounds 210 an hour, to try to hammer out their differences.

Pammy first revealed she'd been in contact with Dr Paul on US telly last week.

The star said: "This lady is unbelievable.

"She teaches you that everyone has an inner child.

"Now I am a mother I can really relate to this.

"I have my son Brandon and I have my own little Pamela.

"She said to me: `Would you let anyone yell at Brandon? Would you let anyone treat Brandon in this specific way?'

"And I said: `No, of course not.'

"And she said: `Well, why let anyone do it to you?'

"It really makes sense to me. It's important to realise that everyone has problems but everyone recovers and heals."

After the session, the couple left with a T-shirt which said "Six Steps to Inner Bonding" - the name Dr Paul gives her theory.

Then they went to a recording studio where Lee and the rest of his band, Motley Crue, are making their new album.

Actress Lindsay Wagner, who played the Bionic Woman, has also been for counselling with Dr Paul.

Wagner tried to explain the guru's teachings, saying: "Whatever roles we play in life - the giver or taker, victim or oppressor - have no balance and they hurt.

"Inner Bonding enables us to step out of our repeated cycles into a life of truly loving ourselves."

Inner Bonding was created in Paul's book Healing Your Aloneness.

It teaches individuals to move away from causing their partners pain to learning how to express love in all actions and manners.
