"Will their love survive when their bionics fail?"
No, we're not talking about Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford or Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. We're talking about the original super couple - Lindsay Wagner and Lee Majors as "The Bionic Woman" and "The Six Million Dollar Man." The two are reunited tonight in "Bionic Ever After," airing from 8 to 10 p.m. on WBBM-Channel 2. The wheezy sequel to the '70s TV series begins with Steve and Jaime on the eve of marriage. But before they can enter a state of bionic bliss, Steve is drawn out of retirement and into one last adventure, while Jaime's bionics start to malfunction. With her super powers at risk, she worries that Steve won't love her if she can no longer leap tall buildings with a single bound."We've been bionic together for so long," she says.
Unfortunately, the movie is as slow as Jaime and her rusty bionics. With her working as a family therapist and his messing about in boats, the two don't even come out of retirement until more than halfway through the movie.
