`Bionic' Pair to Reunite for TV Movie

August 4, 1994

The $6 million man, Lee Majors, and the bionic woman, Lindsay Wagner, will reprise their roles as astronaut Steve Austin and rebuilt tennis pro Jaime Sommers, in "Bionic Breakdown," a CBS movie scheduled to air Oct. 25.

Joining the reunion will be Richard Anderson, who played Oscar Goldman, their boss at the top secret Office of Strategic Information in the old series.

Michael Sloan, who wrote the pilot for "The Equalizer" series, penned the "Breakdown" script, in which the two early-model cyborgs "find love again." That's the only hint of a plotline CBS was offering, although columnist Liz Smith reported they're going to be married.

Majors starred in the ABC series between January, 1974, and March, 1978; Wagner appeared as Steve's girlfriend before getting her own spinoff series in 1976 on ABC. She moved to NBC in 1977 for one last season.

They reunited for a 1989TV movie, "The Bionic Showdown."
