NEW YORK -- NEW YORK, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Lifetime Television celebrates Mother's Day 2003 with an 18-hour, weekend movie marathon about the joys and sorrows of motherhood, airs Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th, showcasing such stars as Courtney Cox-Arquette, Kirsten Dunst, Glenn Close, Lindsay Wagner and Reba McEntire.
The extravaganza is preceded by Lifetime's Intimate Portrait presents "Mothers and Daughters Week," May 5-9, kicking off with the world premiere Intimate Portrait: Mothers & Daughters on Monday, May 5 at 7PM, ET/PT. The hour-long program explores the relationships top television personalities such as Kelly Ripa ("Life with Regis and Kelly") and Kim Fields ("Facts of Life") have with their mothers. The week continues with Intimate Portrait profiles of Sarah Ferguson (May 6), Cheryl Ladd (May 7), Joan Rivers (May 8) and Jamie Lee Curtis (May 9), all at 7PM ET/PT
The week following Mother's Day, May 12-16, Lifetime continues the fun with Academy Award nominee ("Chicago") Renee Zellweger hosting "Up and Down With Love Week," five days of primetime movies starring actresses such as Kim Cattrall, Susan Lucci and Shannen Doherty. Ms. Zellweger will also give viewers a sneak peak at her new movie, "Down With Love," a homage to the early 1960s sex comedies of Rock Hudson and Doris Day. The movie opens in theaters nationwide May 16.
