SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 21, 2001
Biozhem Cosmeceuticals (OTCBB:BZHM), a developer and retailer of botanically based skin care products, announced today that they have signed a production deal with Santa Ana, Calif.-based Script to Screen (www.scripttoscreen.com) to produce an infomercial for the company's new bioengineered anti-aging product, Cell Life ProteinB Complex. The campaign is expected to launch by late Spring 2001.
Script to Screen has created some of the most successful infomercials ever produced, including "Hooked On Phonics," "The Alien Ultimate Wedge Challenge," "Banjo Minnow Fishing System," "TorsoTrack," "Adams Golf Truth About Tight Lies," and "NordicTrack Abworks." The result has been millions of dollars in revenue for their clients.
"We are pleased to be working with Script to Screen on this campaign," said Biozhem's CEO, Gayle Walker. "Their reputation in direct response advertising coupled with their expertise in the beauty product arena makes them the perfect fit for us.
"I firmly believe that our new product will quickly assume a strong position in the marketplace, resulting in significant growth for the company. The multi-billion dollars spent each year by consumers on anti-aging products proves there is a very robust market for a proven product."
"We see hundreds of products each year, and have the time to get involved in only those that have real potential. We are very excited about Biozhem's project and the opportunity to bring to market a product that represents a major breakthrough in skin care," added Tony Kerry, senior vice president of marketing at Script to Screen.
In addition to the infomercial, Biozhem plans to offer the product through a multi-channel direct response marketing and advertising campaign. This will include shopping channels, direct mail, catalogs, credit card billing inserts and the Internet. Worldwide distribution that includes all previously detailed channels of distribution will follow later this year.
Biozhem's Cell Life ProteinB Complex represents a true breakthrough in anti-aging skin care technology. Biozhem's formulation takes a completely new approach to skin cell rejuvenation, supplementing all of the essential factors produced by skin cells acting in their natural element in the body.
This bioengineered "cocktail" of nutrients helps the body's own process of skin cell turnover, leading to younger-looking skin, and the ability to slow the visible signs of aging.
Biozhem has begun clinical trials on the efficacy of the anti-aging nutrient solution developed by a California-based biotech firm. The studies are being conducted by DermTech International (www.dermtechintl.com), a San Diego-based contract testing laboratory with focused expertise in dermatology and skin care products.
Biozhem Cosmeceuticals markets its products through their retail Biozhem Skin Care Centers and kiosks as well as direct mail catalogs and the Internet (www.biozhem.com). Biozhem Cosmeceuticals Inc. trades under the stock symbol OTCBB:BZHM. Biozhem has headquarters in San Juan Capistrano, with retail locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona and Southern California.
