Water World is bathing in Hollywood's limelight this month. Lindsay Wagner and Alan Thicke come to town to star in "The Surfer King," a family comedy about a kid from California who moves to Denver and, somehow, finds waves, love, happiness - and himself.
Wagner was on set Sunday, looking bionic and, she said, finishing a nice Colorado week. "I've seen sun, rain, floods - all the things Colorado has to offer," she told me. Almost 30 years after "The Bionic Woman" aired on ABC, Wagner is still recognized by pockets of young fans - the ones who caught the show on the Sci Fi Channel.
Wagner headed home to L.A. Monday; Thicke arrives Thursday.
Kerilynn Pratt, 25, stars as the hero's 16-year-old girlfriend. She looks about 15 and gets carded at Chuck E. Cheese.
"This is such a sweet, innocent movie," she said. "It's not the usual thing about everybody losing their virginity."
So has Pratt, a vet of many films and TV shows, lost her virginity on screen? "Yes, I have," she said. "Twice."
But not in the same movie.
Filming of "The Surfer King" continues at Water World through Sept. 3.
