Water World, at West 88th Avenue and Pecos Street, will make a splash on the silver screen when production of The Surfer King begins Aug. 9.

The romantic teen comedy is set for release next April.

Former "Bionic Woman" Lindsay Wagner will play the mother of a California surfer bummed at being transplanted to Colorado but whose life is buoyed by landing a job at the water park.

Local writer and director Bernie Murray wrote the story for the low-budget film.
