Morada Vision and it's President Marshall Blonstein have a knack for bringing back some of the classic entertainment moments and making them available for you to once again sit back and enjoy, on DVD. The label specializes in creating collections that entertain lovers of retro-cool collections such as Playboy After Dark. Some of the coolest TV entertainment shows ever to broadcast are on this set.
Playboy After Dark is a generous 3 DVD set that puts Hugh Hefner in a different light, and one that many people may have missed along the way or were totally unaware of. This DVD collection covers the periods of time when Hefner offered television entertainment that was different from anything else that aired in the U.S. at the time. The shows featured the brightest stars and the best from the world of music, comedy, and literature.
The best entertainment available came to join Hef on the set. There was Sonny & Cher, Linda Ronstadt, Joe Cocker, Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr., Ike & Tina Turner, Lenny Bruce, Jerry Lewis, Nat King Cole, Billy Eckstine, and Canned Heat to name a few.
The DVD set shows how the show developed from black and white to color and it includes an informative booklet, featuring the distinctive artwork of Leroy Neiman. The commentary by author Bill Zehme accurately defines the atmosphere of the show and the times we lived in.
Playboy After Dark features television shows from the 60’s and 70’s, each one remastered to bring back the magnificent quality of its original splendor. Each DVD will contain two complete shows capturing a party only the world’s most famous bachelor could have put together. There is only one difference now, if you missed the first round of parties, you are cordially invited to come back and relive those moments again in the comfort of your own home, or high-rise apartment, whatever the case may be, Hef is back for a return performance that you will not forget.
