Nashville-produced profile of young Graham debuts this weekend
A film created, shot and produced in Nashville hits theaters today.
Based on the life of evangelical icon Billy Graham, “Billy: The Early Years” was filmed in and around the Music City and produced by Anastasia Brown, a judge on USA Networks’ reality show “Nashville Star.”
Brown’s 821 Entertainment Group, in partnership with Landis Entertainment & Media Partners LLC, produced the film. Brown was also the music supervisor for the movie and its soundtrack.
The movie follows Graham through early adulthood at the crossroads of faith and doubt, when he made the decisions that launched his celebrated evangelistic career.
The cast includes Oscar-winner Martin Landau, Lindsay Wagner and country singer Josh Turner.
The film will be shown in 40 markets including Nashville, New York and Los Angeles.
