IN the wake of a visit to Redcar from former bionic woman actress Lindsay Wagner, ANGEL 365 commented: "How hilarious that Lindsay Wagner would come to Teesside of all places to tell people about spiritual healing.

"Mind you, it has to be a good thing. It's better than the usual Tees way of dealing with things - with drink and drowning sorrows."

FOLLOWING the story of Lynette Walker, the Land Girl who sadly died before she received her war medal, ANNE MARIE HAWKINS said on TS18 "I'm a little concerned that this article may mislead and upset people newly diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and their families, and who might know little about the condition.

"The article states that Mrs Walker 'died of Parkinson's Disease'.

"Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition, but it is NOT terminal.

"The effects of Parkinson's can affect other conditions and so contribute to the cause of death, but are not a direct cause of it.

"With modern treatments, people living with Parkinson's can expect an average lifespan.

"It is good to see the contribution of those who served in the Land Army being recognised in this way."

THEFT of plant pots continues to fuel debate on TS23 An extract from SECURITY JOE said: "Regarding the cameras around the town centre and park, etc, the full area is covered so I cannot see why they can't give us a simple answer.

"We pay enough council tax in Billingham for a full service, if this had been Stockton-on-Tees they would have been arrested and charged the same night.

"Billingham people deserve a better service from the council."
