Lindsay and I at the Polaris 24 convention in Toronto. What a morale booster.
I truly enjoyed Lindsay's Quiet the Mind and Open the Heart presentation.
Thank you for the experience, Lindsay.

BionicandBeyond.com:

Hi Lindsay, it is great to be here with you.

I wanted to do this interview for my BionicAndBeyond.com website. I believe you’ve been there...

Lindsay Wagner:

Yes, it’s lovely. It’s really lovely.

B&B: Lindsay, would you like to discuss your current and upcoming projects?

LW: Well currently as you may already know, I do workshops and retreats and I have an upcoming one...the last one actually in the US this year probably is in Baltimore on July 31 and August 1 and that’s a two-day workshop of "Quiet the Mind and Open the Heart" and I also just finished filming my second cameo episode of "Warehouse 13" and I play the warehouse doctor.

B&B: Do you know if there will be more appearances on that show?

LW: Likely. It is quite likely.

B&B:  The Bionic Woman is finally coming out on DVD this fall…

LW: Yes and it‘s real this time!

B&B: Are you going to be taking part in the special features?

LW: We are talking about it right now.

B&B: Any idea of what kind of special features?

LW: No. We’ll be announcing that really soon when it gets all straightened-out.

B&B: The fans would like to know if you have any favourite episodes of "The Bionic Woman"?

LW:  I know. I hate that question (laugh). It’s so hard and impossible to answer, because I have different ones that I like for different reasons. It’s not usually the favourite ones of the fans, like the Fembots, you know.

"I’m very deep into Body, Mind and Spirit connection, and human potential."

For me it was not that. Because you know, I’m always some kind of a nudge when it comes to looking  for deeper meaning, and that’s what's fun for me about acting. That makes it fun for me. So, the one that isn’t necessarily the best episode we’ve ever done in other ways, but was very meaningful to me, and I actually “bartered”. I thought, "I’ll do "Fembots" and "Bigfoot" if you’ll do this one story for me (laugh)," which was about mind-over-matter.

As you know, I’m very deep into Body, Mind and Spirit connection, and human potential, the power we have as individuals, the power of the mind to shift and change lots of things, including what we think our physical limitations are.

I’d been studying some Tibetan and some Indian yogis who have the ability to pierce themselves and not bleed and this kind of stuff. I brought a lot of that information to the writing team and Ken Johnson, and said: “I want to do an episode about this,” and it took them a while to figure out how to do it because it was almost like it was confronting, because, “we don’t know how to do it, because we’re kind of trying to say it’s real” and I said: “Who cares? Some people think Bigfoot is real and some people don’t, so let’s do it!”

I’m not saying you’re not real, Bigfoot, if you’re out there... (laugh)

So anyway, they worked it out because biofeedback had just become very "out" in the public and it kind of blends-in with being able to control the mind and so, that’s how they ended up doing the story, “Biofeedback.” It would be interesting to see the graphics nowadays…it would be done very differently...

"...it was kind of how I was feeling about doing the series at the time."

B&B: It’s actually one of my favourites also…

LW: Is it? Oh yes! Also, one that was very personal to me, was the ending one…

B&B: “On the Run”…

LW:  “On The Run,” yes. I actually had a lot to do with the writing of that one. It was kind of how I was feeling about doing the series at the time. I was exhausted, and there was a lot going on. One part of me wanted to stay and another part wanted out. It’s a very personal one to me.

“Sister Jaime” was very fun to do! We had a lot of laughs. That was just fun to make. It was just FUN!

B&B: “Black Magic”?

LW: “Black Magic” was great!!! It was fun to make. Vincent (Price) was just incredible to work with. He’s a very funny man... very elegant man.

B&B: Do you have any personal favourite movies of yours that are close to your heart?

LW: Again, it’s the same thing. When I get involved in a story that has some social content, it becomes very special to me. I was very happy with my performance in “The Taking of Flight 847: The Uli Derickson Story.” That was a very hard show to do. I had a tough time learning the language and making it real.

I also like another one that was very subtle, which was “Evil in Clear River.”  I was really happy with what I was able to do in my performance with the subtlety of that woman versus the exaggerated, overt kind of behaviour required in Uli Derickson.

"“Sister Jaime” was very fun to do! We had a lot of laughs."

...and of course, there is domestic violence. Helping people learn about themselves and grow through domestic violence, is very important to me. Categorically. So, “Shattered Dreams” is another one I was happy with.

B&B: I really enjoyed your performances in all three films.

LW: Thank you.

B&B: Would you like to say something to the www.BionicandBeyond.com community worldwide?

LW: Well, I’d like to start by saying thank you so much for all of your support over the years. I know everybody thinks of me as "The Bionic Woman," but you’ve all followed me through all the other things I’ve wanted to do and I’m happy you’ve liked it. I’m just very appreciative.

B&B: Thank you very much for your time, Lindsay.

LW: My pleasure.

B&B: Good luck with the "Quiet the Mind and Open the Heart" tour.

LW: Thank you.

Thank you to Evy Castillo, Marilyn Ball, Regina Samsel, Karen Stowe and Lindsay Wagner!

NOTE:

Flash photography was absolutely forbidden at all times so these were the only shots of Lindsay I was able to get, which explains their grainyness.

Autographs

I got some really rare items signed such as the Stitchcraft which Lindsay modeled for in 1969 (above) as well as the "Introduction to the Piano" LP which Lindsay modeled for when she was a little girl (below).
